Founded in 2010 by Manuel Vieira Lopes, Casas em Movimento (Houses In Motion) was born from the search for a “living architecture with an integrated plastic composition and a strong spatial diversity”. The dream was to reconcile spaces with the surroundings, oriented by the Sun, but fundamentally, to find a living architecture that adapted the dimension of spaces to the routine of those who use these spaces, creating an alternative to the existing architecture/buildings.
Although the initial concept was based on the development of technology for a “House In Motion” (housing), it was found that this technology is much more comprehensive, and applies to all architecture.
Our buildings can be designed in such a way as to produce at least as much energy as they consume and may even produce enough energy to supply electric vehicles.
Casas Em Movimento is the first company in the world with patented technology (in 77 countries) that combines the rotation movements of the building and the photovoltaic coverage.
