Founded in 2010 by Manuel Vieira Lopes, Casas em Movimento (Houses In Motion) was born from the search for a “living architecture with an integrated plastic composition and a strong spatial diversity”. The dream to reconcile spaces with the surroundings, oriented by the Sun, but fundamentally, to find a living architecture that adapted the dimension of spaces to the routine of those who use these spaces, creating an alternative to the existing architecture.
Casas Em Movimento is the first company in the world that combines the rotation movements of the building and the photovoltaic coverage.
- Buildings that rotate up to 360º;
- Roofs (photovoltaic) that can tilt up to 60º creating shadows in the windows during the summer, and exposing them to the Sun in the winter;
- User can control structures through the smartphone;
- Dynamic spaces that adapt to the needs of users;
Although the initial concept was based on the development of technology for a “House In Motion” (housing), it was found that this technology is much more comprehensive, and applies to all architecture. Not just Houses In Motion, we are Arch In Motion.
Our buildings can be designed in such a way as to produce at least as much energy as they consume and may even produce enough energy to supply your own electric vehicle.
Casas em Movimento’s technology is patented in 77 countries.
